With the entire world is battling the worst tragedy of the century – the COVID-19 pandemic, the cricket stars all around the globe have been sharing their thoughts on the deadly disease, which has taken lives of more than 8000 people and affected all sporting events globally.
Indian spinner R Ashwin has joined other cricketers, urging fellow citizens to be honest and confine themselves for the sake of other's life to help the authorities to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 – which is rapidly rising across the world including India.
While alerting the people that the planet is challenging the human race, Ashwin has requested all to understand the seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic and be responsible towards the society.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday (March 18), Ashwin has shared a thoughtful message: “The planet is challenging the human race, asking us if we can be responsible towards the society, it’s asking us if we can be honest and confine ourselves for other persons sake. Thinking face some very difficult questions to answer. Stay safe and answer the questions Folded hands#coronavirusindia”
Recently, the Chennai-based cricketer had made a sarcastic revelation about the fellow residents, revealing how Chennai peoples are living in a state of ignorance.
He had said in a tweet: “Let me rephrase it, social distancing doesn't seem to have caught the attention of the people in Chennai yet. The only reason could be their belief in the summer to curtail it or just faith that nothing will happen.”
Noteworthy, the deadly disease has claimed around 8000 lives and infected over 2 Lakh peoples around the world besides impacting all sporting events across the globe.
