As Virat Kohli's career keeps taking a rise, the comparison between him and the legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulkar got fierce among the fans.

There were occasions when the question was asked to cricketers as well. Like KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya had to choose between Kohli and Sachin, and they went for their captain. India pacer Ishant Sharma is the latest one to answer the question in his appearance for a show on Cricbuzz.

Answering the question, Ishant picked Virat as his favorite and he has a reason for it. He said, “Virat Kohli is the best batsman I have ever seen play on a cricket field.”

Ishant has played cricket with Kohli for a long time. They shared the same dressing room for Delhi and have been bonding for a long time now. When Kohli had lost his father, Ishant was there with him. The India captain played the match for Delhi and then went to attend his father's funeral.
