Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has got the chance to re-live his playing days with his old buddies like Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, thanks to the charity cricketing event – Road Safety World Series 2020 in India. Though, the event was called off due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In the Road Safety World series – a T20 cricket competition organized by the Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra to raise awareness about road safety, cricket legends from Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and India were seen in action in Mumbai.

The recent World series has given fans a golden chance to dance watching their favorite cricketers in the action where the former cricketer’s energy and fitness level was just enthralling for their fans.
Well, fitness is a major and primary parameter in any sport and also in the game of gentleman’s and in the modern era of cricket, fitness has become synonymous with the Yo-Yo test.
In the past decade, there was also a fitness test, as the players had to cover a distance of 20m in a stipulated time and then return to the starting point before the beep, but it was not mandatory to feature in the national team.
Though the times have now changed, as the players have now to pass the yo-yo fitness test and declared ‘fit’ to be a part of the national team set-up and if they fail, they will go through the test until meeting the required standards.
Meanwhile, in the previous decade, there were numerous talented players and were also fit in their own way and Pathan has named the three players who had higher fitness standards at the Indian set-up.
In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the former all-rounder was asked to name three Indian players of the last decade who would have finished as top-three in the Yo-Yo Test and he named Tendulkar, Mohammed Kaif, before including his name in the list of a fitness freak.
He said Tendulkar was a great fitness freak while saying Kaif was a quick runner between the wickets beside being sharp and decisive on the field – which earned him the tag of one of the best acrobatic fielders in the cricket world of his era before finishing with himself as the third contender in the list.
