India cricketer Shreyas Iyer attended the 69th NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago. He met the basketball great Shaquille O'Neal on Sunday and shared a picture on his Twitter account.

Iyer is a follower of the NBA and it was the first time he witnessed the action live from the arena. The cricketer recently played against New Zealand, and as he is not part of the Test squad, Iyer took the opportunity to watch the game in the USA.

Posting the picture, he wrote: “Big @SHAQ. Such an honor to meet you LEGEND.” 

Shreyas had a dream to watch basketball legends in action. Before attending the match, he had said, “I’m thrilled to have this wonderful opportunity to witness the NBA All-Star action live from courtside. It’s a dream to watch basketball greats and living legends like LeBron James and Dwight Howard up close in action, and the fan in me just wants to scream of jubilation as I await being there.

“I look forward to experiencing the culture and fan craze of a different level that I have seen on TV till now while growing up,” he added.
