NZA v INDA 2020: Rahane slams ton on the final day as second unofficial Test ends in draw

Gill, Pujara and Vihari also impressed in the second four-day Test held in Lincoln.

India A batsmen continued their domination over New Zealand A bowlers on the last day of the second unofficial Test in Lincoln as Ajinkya Rahane led the way with an unbeaten 101.

Rahane was ably supported in the act by all-rounder Vijay Shankar, who scored a strokeful 66. The pair added 120 runs for the fourth wicket but the game eventually ended in a draw as India A finished with 467/5 in their first innings after batting 109.3 overs.

On Day 3, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari and Cheteshwar Pujara had dominated with the bat. While Gill smashed 136, Vihari (59) and Pujara (53) chipped in with fifties.

The New Zealand A bowling attack was made to work really hard, with Ed Nuttall (2/98) being the only one to take a couple of wickets.

Earlier, India A bowlers – Mohammed Siraj (2/75), Avesh Khan (2/82), Ravichandran Ashwin (2/98) and Sandeep Warrier (2/50) – were far more impressive as the visitors restricted New Zealand A to 386/9 (declared) in the first essay.
