Out-of-favour Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Umar Akmal is likely to face disciplinary action after reportedly exposing himself to selectors during a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore recently.

It is being said that Akmal asked a trainer “where is the fat” while exposing himself completely in frustration after failing to pass one of the fitness tests at the NCA.

The matter has been reported to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and an ‘ESPNcricinfo’ report claimed that the Board is fully aware of the incident that took place during the fitness test at the NCA.

He removed his shirt and asked “bataye charbee kaha hain (tell me where is the fat)” and for his behavior, he could be banned by the PCB from the next domestic tournament in Pakistan.

Noteworthy, Pakistan head coach and chief selector has strictly instructed to all domestic teams to regulate fitness tests on a quarterly basis. Well, Umar was once seen as a bright prospect for Pakistan, but his poor form and poor fitness led to him being dropped from the national set-up in favor of Sarfaraz Ahmed.

He has scored 1003 runs with one century and six fifties in 16 Tests while he has 3194 runs with two centuries in 121 ODIs for Pakistan so far. The wicket-keeper batsman has also amassed 1690 runs with the highest score of 94 and eight half-centuries to his name in 84 T20 Internationals.
