Pakistan has on Monday (January 27) retained the no. 1 spot in the ICC T20I ranking after clinching the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh with the final washed out in Lahore.
The Men in Green already took an unassailable 2-0 lead over Bangladesh in the three-match Twenty20 International series after crushing wins in the first two matches in Lahore.
Well, the rain didn’t allow Bangladesh to play for pride in the final T20I, as the constant showers forced the officials to called off the game without a toss in Lahore.

After the third match washed out in Lahore, Pakistan clinched the home series with 2-0 lead on the back of their clinical bowling performances and strong batting display from the experienced batsmen against Bangladesh.
The hosts claimed a five-wicket victory in the opening game and then went on to win the second match by 9-wickets to win the home series and retain the no.1 spot in the T20I rankings.
Noteworthy, Bangladesh will next play the first Test starting February 7 and then return for the final leg of the series in April for one-off ODI and the second Test.
