Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has on Tuesday (December 24) made it clear to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that they will take a final call on playing Tests in Pakistan only after scheduled T20 International series next year in January.
The PCB has been trying hard to convince the BCB for a Test series in Pakistan after successfully hosting Sri Lanka for two Tests recently after a decade at the home.
Since the deadly terror attack on Lankan team bus in 2009, Pakistan was forced to play home matches in the UAE, but Islanders paved way for the other teams to visit the country by declaring it a safe country for the game after making two visits in the past two months.

However, the Sri Lanka’s successful tour of Pakistan isn’t enough to convince the Bangladesh to make a Test tour of the country, as the BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said they will only be able to give go-ahead for the tour only after his team and management’s assessment of the situation in the country during a three-match T20I series in January.
As per reports in ESPNCricinfo, Chowdhury stated: “Pakistan will try for the full return of international cricket to their country. We have to take into account the views of our players and members of our team management, who are foreigners.”
He signed off by saying, “The match environment is also important to us. Relevant stakeholders' view is also important, regarding a longer tour to Pakistan. Our primary proposal is to play three T20Is in a shorter period so that players and team management can do a proper assessment of the situation there.”
Noteworthy, Bangladesh is scheduled to play two Tests and three T20Is against Pakistan in January.
