MSL 2019: Alex Hales’ blazing 97* powers Durban Heat to a convincing win over Paarl Rocks

Heat chased down Rocks' target of 196 with seven balls to spare.

Paarl Rocks and Durban Heat faced each other in the 24th match of Mzansi Super League (MSL) 2019 at Boland Park on Wednesday (December 4).

Asked to bat first, Rocks posted a mammoth 195/2 in 20 overs on the back of Cameron Delport’s 49-ball 84 and captain Faf du Plessis’ 36-ball 66 not out.

Malusi Siboto was the pick of the bowlers for Durban, claiming 1 for 29 in his stipulated four overs.

In reply, Heat rode on Alex Hales’ blazing 97 not out off 55 balls (9 fours and 4 sixes) to overhaul the target with seven balls to spare. David Miller also played a significant cameo of 22-ball 40, including 1 four and 3 sixes.

Rocks managed to claim four wickets of Heat with Tabraiz Shamsi taking 2 for 37 in his four-over quota.
