To set aside the speculations about his retirement, veteran Indian wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has finally returned to the training after a long period of lay-off post World Cup 2019.

He had taken a long break from the game since India’s World Cup semi-final defeat against New Zealand in England, owing to his to military duties and other personal reasons – which has been constantly raising the speculation of former captain’s retirement.

While his return raised hopes of a comeback, Dhoni has once again made himself unavailable for the upcoming home limited-overs series against the West Indies next month. A BCCI official on Friday, November 15, confirmed that “He isn’t available for the West Indies series.”

Dhoni’s unavailability for the upcoming three T20Is and as many ODIs against West Indies starting on December 6 in Mumbai, has put serious question marks on whether he plays upcoming T20 World Cup 2020, as the chief selector MSK Prasad has already mentioned that they are moving on from the legend.
