New Zealand paceman Lockie Ferguson is all set to return to action since his last appearance in the World Cup Final 2019, as he will turn up for New Zealand XI in a series of warm-up matches against England before five-match T20I series next month.
Since the dramatic World Cup final against England at Lord’s, Ferguson last took part in a warm-up T20 match against a Sri Lanka Board President's XI in August, but he could not take part in the series after sustaining a fracture to his thumb at training.
As per ICC, Ferguson said: “The thumb has healed well and I'm looking forward to having a hit-out at Lincoln. While it's obviously frustrating to be sidelined, it's actually been good to take some time to freshen up and be able to return with plenty of motivation and energy.”

He signed off by saying, “It's the beginning of a really big summer of cricket, and it's exciting to be starting it against a quality England side.”
Noteworthy, Colin Munro-led New Zealand XI will play two practice matches against England on 27 and 29 October before the first T20I on November 1 followed by two Tests at home.
