Sarfaraz Ahmed has been asked to go back into domestic cricket to regain form and confidence
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) removed Sarfaraz Ahmed as the captain of the Pakistani team in Tests and T20Is after a string of poor performances by the team under his leadership for a long time. They have named Azhar Ali as Test captain and Babar Azam as T20I captain.Sarfaraz Ahmed reached high peaks after beating India in the finals of Champions Trophy 2017, but since then the fortunes have dwindled at the most, as they were beaten twice by India in the Asia Cup 2018, then in the World Cup 2019 as well, which started with Sarfaraz deciding to bowl after winning the toss.

His inability to take the team into the semifinals of the tournament started his downfall as the captain and his poor performance with the bat and fitness levels added to his misfortunes. And when a second-string Sri Lankan team whitewashed them in the T20I series at home, PCB had enough and announced sacking him as captain and dropped him from the team as well.
However, PCB in their amazing mismanagement, right after posting the announcement of Sarfaraz’s sacking as captain, decided to post a video of Pakistani players dancing during a practice session in which Fakhar Zaman is seen doing the Bhangra.
