Pakistan cricket has been struggling to get back their game, as they failed to make a serious impact on the field since the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy triumph.
While their disastrous World Cup 2019 campaign forced the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to revamp the entire coaching staff, and even shorten their contract players list and introduce new training methodologies. Despite all these, Sarfaraz Ahmed and his team are failing to deliver the results.
The number one ranked T20I team Pakistan's recent whitewash at the hands of second-string Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series has attracted a lot of criticism from fans to former cricketers.
Recently, Aamir Sohail, former Pakistan captain, criticized the national team management for majorly focusing on the team’s fitness instead of improving their skill.

He raised the questions over the new fitness regime of the players, saying why there is a need to work so hard on their fitness asking are they prepared for the Olympics or WWE wrestling or Cricket.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed coach Misbah-ul-Haq focussed came out with a strict diet plan, as he took away the biryani and other fatty red-meat food items from the players' plate after the national team was criticized for their poor fitness levels during the World Cup 2019.
Although, Sohail has a completely different take on the matter. He told a Pakistani journalist: “In Pakistan cricket these days we are concentrating more on fitness and it appears that we are preparing our players less for cricket and more for the Olympics or WWE Wrestling.”
Noteworthy, Misbah’s first assignment in charge as the head coach-cum-chief selector was a 3 match ODI series against Sri Lanka that Pakistan won by 2-0 with the first match was abandoned due to rain.
However, the results were totally contrary in the T20I series as his team failed to win a single match of the series losing the home series 0-3 to the Islanders recently in Lahore.
