Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been battling with back issues ever since going down while bowling in the Asia Cup 2018. He missed quite a lot of matches in buildup to the ICC World Cup 2019 but managed to play through the tournament without much damage.
However, his issues flared up during the semi-final match against the New Zealand team and he was not picked for the West Indies tour by BCCI selectors, giving him rest and sending him to consult doctors to sort out his back issue. Later it was found out that he needed to undergo surgery, which happened in London a few days ago.

Since then, Pandya has shared details of his recovery update on social media, which shows him using a wheelchair for the most part in order to get from one place to another, while learning to walk again, using baby steps.
He was recently paid a visit by someone special while in hospital in London and that someone was the owner of Pandya’s IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, Nita Ambani. Ambani’s husband Mukesh, who is the richest Indian in the world, owns the four-time IPL champion team and Pandya has been with them since 2015 and is an important part of the team.
Hardik Pandya tweeted, “Thank you Bhabhi for coming to meet me here in London. Humbled by your gesture. Your wishes and encouraging words mean a lot to me. You have always been an inspiration. ???? “
