Kamlesh Nagarkoti returns for the Emerging Asia Cup after 19-month injury layoff

Indian pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti who was a key element in India’s U-19 World Cup triumph last year in New Zealand is set to make his comeback on the field after a 19-month injury layoff for the upcoming Emerging Asia Cup.

The 19-year-old was constantly monitored by experts at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where he underwent rehab following a stress fractures in his lower back, heel and ankle.

Nagarkoti who picked the first ever hat-trick for Rajasthan in List A cricket formed a fine combination with fellow pacer Shivam Mavi during the U-19 World Cup, and one of the notable names in the squad announced after a meeting of the junior selection committee in Mumbai on Monday.
