Scotland and Netherlands faced each other in the fifth match of the T20I tri-series in Dublin on Thursday (September 19).

Opting to bat first after winning toss, Netherlands posted a paltry 123/10 in its stipulated 20 overs. Except for Bas de Leede (30 off 36 balls), no other Dutch batsman managed to touch the 30-run mark.

For Scotland, Hamza Tahir was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 4 wickets by conceding 30 runs in his four overs. Tom Sole (2/15) also chipped in with a couple of prized scalps.

In reply, Scotland lost captain Kyle Coetzer (5) cheaply. But handy contributions from George Munsey (27 off 23 balls), Ollie Hairs (25 off 14 balls) and Richie Berrington (27 not out off 19 balls) helped the team overhaul the target in just 13.2 overs with six wickets in hand.

Netherlands bowlers also struggled for line and length as they conceded 24 extras while defending the total.

With this emphatic victory, Scotland also jumped to the top of the points table and will take on host Ireland in the last game of the tri-series on Friday (September 20).

Brief Scores:

Netherlands 123/10 in 20 overs (Bas de Leede 30; Hamza Tahir 4-30) lost to Scotland 126/4 in 13.2 overs (Richie Berrington 27*; Paul van Meekeren 2-32) by 6 wickets.
