The third day of the second unofficial Test between India A and South Africa A saw the visiting team almost coming par with India A total in their first innings.
India A made 417 runs in the first innings with four batsmen- Gill, Nair, Dube, and Saha making half-centuries. Then two wickets each from Shahbaz Nadeem and Kuldeep Yadav left SA A at 142/5 at the end of day 2. However, the third day belonged to Aiden Markram and Wiaan Mulder, who has brought SA back in the game.
Markram made 161 with 20 fours and 2 sixes, while Mulder made 131* with 17 fours and 1 six and the duo added, 155 crucial runs for the sixth wicket. Vernon Philander made 21, as SA innings ended on 400 runs.
For India A, Kuldeep picked 4/121, while Nadeem picked 3/76 and Siraj ended with 2/72. India A made 14/0 in their second innings at the end of the day’s play. India A lead by 31 runs with 10 wickets in hand.
