Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer won the toss and chose to bat first. Calum MacLeod smashed 72 in 42 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. George Munsey made 34, while Hairs and Berrington made scores in the 20s to help the Scots reach 193/7 in 20 overs. Boyd Rankin picked 3/29, while Gareth Delaney picked 2/31.

Delaney then got going at the top with a score of 52 in 28 balls with 8 fours and 1 six, while Andy Balbirnie made 64 in 32 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Mark Watt picked 3/38 to give the Irish chase a jolt in the middle overs, but Tector (21), Getkate and Adair managed to take the team past the finish line in the 18th over with four wickets in hand.
