The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday (September 11) announced the upcoming One Day series against Bangladesh U-23 team has been shifted from Raipur to Lucknow.

The five-match One Day series between India U-23 and Bangladesh U-23 was originally scheduled to be held at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh international cricket stadium in Raipur, but poor weather forced the BCCI to shift the matches from the original venue to Lucknow.

The BCCI said in a statement, “The series was originally scheduled to take place in Raipur, but incessant rain has led to a change in the venue.”

With the latest development, the matches will now be held at Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow – which has the sitting capacity of 50,000 fans starting from 19 September. The Ekana Stadium is the new cricket ground in the state of Uttar Pradesh, which has hosted only one international fixture – T20I between India and West Indies since it was inaugurated in 2018.
