Pakistan cricket team may not have made an impact in the clash against Australia, but one of their fans went viral. Pakistan put up a disappointing show in the middle after Australia didn't let them take hold of the game.
The fan present in the stadium was disappointed and angered by a pale show from Sarfraz Ahmed-led side. His reaction was spotted by the cameraman after Asif Ali, Pakistan fielder had dropped a catch. He had his hands on hips with an annoyed face staring at the fielder.
He soon was all over the internet as ICC shared the gif on Twitter. Fans were in splits seeing the reaction from a dishearten Pakistan fan. Soon he was interviewed by insider and Pakistan sports presenter Zainab Abbas.
“It was just a straightforward catch,” he said. “It was really disappointing to see it happen right in front of me getting dropped. It probably showed all over my face.
“I could see it land on his hand and then he dropped it, so it was really disappointing to see it happen right in front of me. And I couldn’t say anything because he had just come off a family tragedy, so I didn’t shout at him.”
Pakistan lost the match against Australia by 41 runs but the fan was looking at the positives from the game.
“(Shahid) Afridi was very good on the boundary, so something to look forward to,” he said.
“Our fielding was very good, except for catching.”
