Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has been declared as the most trusted Indian sports personality by a consumer-insights company TRA.

He recently touched 100 million followers on his social media accounts (Twitter + Instagram + Facebook). He became the first Indian sportsman and the world’s first cricketer to do so.

In the list of India’s most trusted sports personalities, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is ranked second and current vice-captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, ranks third.

The research was conducted in 16 cities among 2315 consumers. The reports include various categories like Cinema, Sports, Business, etc.

The other most trusted celebrities in various categories are Amitabh Bachchan (Male actor), Rajnikant (South Indian male actor), Deepika Padukone (Female actor), Ratan Tata (Businessman), Late Mother Teresa (Spiritual leader), Anna Hazare (Social Activist), Sandeep Maheshwari (Youtuber), Sudha Murthy (Author) and John Cena (International actor).
