The 44-year-old ex-West Indies cricketer Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored 210 runs in a T20 match. That's an astonishing feat considering how the whole team struggles to score that many runs in an innings.

He scored 210 off just 76 balls in the Adam Sanford Cricket4Life T20 tournament at the Caribe Lumber Ballpark at St.Maarten. The tournament is at a crucial stage where only one spot was up for grab in the semi-finals.

Chanderpaul was sent to open the innings with another explosive batsman Dwayne Smith against Mad Dogs, a team from the USA.

His team posted a massive 303 runs to win by the wide margin 192 runs. Chanderpaul's innings consisted of 25 fours and 13 sixes to ensure that 50 percent of the balls he faced went to the boundary.

Another opener, Smith hit a blazing 54 off 29 balls with eight fours and two sixes.

The game wasn't a recognized one, hence, Chris Gayle's record of 175* for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2013 remains the highest individual score in T20.

The chase by the USA based team wasn't competitive. However, Prasanna Ramaswamy of Mad Dogs scored a 59 off 29 balls with eight fours and three sixes. He was the only player on his team in double figures.
