Michael Vaughan has selected a 15-member squad that he believes selectors must also pick in order to see England win this year's ICC Cricket World Cup. The former skipper considers Eoin Morgan and his team as massive favourites to reign supreme at the end of the 10-team marquee event, beginning May 30.

"I think England already know their squad for the World Cup. I really do," Vaughan was quoted saying by metro.co.uk. Before he drafted Jonny Bairstow above Alex Hales as one of the openers along with Jason Roy in his unit.

The experience and ability of Morgan has been sandwiched between premier batsman Joe Root at No.3 and the explosive Jos Buttler in Vaughan's quality middle-order, that is followed by the all-round balance and depth which Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes provide.

The bowling line-up features Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett and Mark Wood in the playing XI and the overall squad has been round off with adequate back-up options like Hales, Joe Denly, David Willey and Jofra Archer.

Also, on the back of good performances in the recent T20I series against West Indies, Vaughan has slotted in Liam Dawson, Chris Jordan and Tom Curran as the extras, who can be an ideal replacement in case of injuries.

"These T20s [against West Indies] have brought a few names back into the fore. You look at [Sam] Billings and [Chris] Jordan. I think David Willey may sneak in because of his left-armers," Vaughan concluded.
