Latest Australian pace sensation Jhye Richardson is all set to show his magic on Indian soil after having an outstanding Test debut on home soil against Sri Lanka at the start of this month and he wants to keep things simple to rise in international ranks.

Richardson, who surprised everyone by using messages on his shoe during the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, has finished with figures of 3-26 and 2-19 on debut to announce himself a star.

On Saturday (16th February), Richardson has revealed the message -which reads: KISS' (keep it simple stupid), and 'Ruthless' keeps him motivated during the games on the field -a formula started under Justin Langer's guidance at Western Australia.

Following a strong display against Sri Lanka, the 22-year-old is now set to make his case strong for the 2019 Ashes and World Cup squads with the upcoming limited-overs series in India.

As per reports in Cricket Australia’s official website, Richardson told media, “I get asked a lot about what I write on my shoes and what I had during the Test series. It will probably be something that sticks around - just to keep things simple and stay in the contest as much as I can.”

Meanwhile, Richardson will have a great opportunity to impress Australian selectors before World Cup 2019 squad selection, as injuries to Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc would offer him more opportunities to shine with a strong performance in India.

The right-arm paceman on Friday was inducted into the WACA's Test Player Walk, and he paid special tribute to his parents during the ceremony.

Richardson signed off by saying, “(Their) sacrifice has been massive. All of the driving around they did for me when I was younger, the days off work - sacrificing their lives for me means a lot. I'll be forever grateful.”
