Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has got a stand named after him in Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium in Ranchi. Ranchi adores the World Cup-winning captain for putting the city on the map.
The south stand at JSCA Stadium will now be known as 'MS Dhoni pavilion' and there is a placard placed there can be seen in the picture going viral on the internet.
Dhoni has led India to a couple of World Cup wins in 2007 and 2011, before gifting a Champions Trophy win in 2013.
About the JSCA Stadium, it was inaugurated in January 2013. The stadium has hosted only one Test and T20I, along with 4 ODI matches. The first Test in this stadium was played last year between India and Australia. It turned out to be a draw. Though, the game saw some outstanding innings, including Cheteshwar Pujara's marathon innings of 202 where he became the first Indian batsman to face 500 balls in a Test innings.
The stadium is set to host Australia playing India in the 3rd ODI of the upcoming five-match series on March 08.
