India Women’s T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur insisted that there is no bad blood between her and India ODI skipper Mithali Raj after the veteran was dropped for the 2018 World T20 semi-final against England, which led a controversial dispute between Mithali and then coach Ramesh Powar.

On Friday (January 4), Harmanpreet made it clear that everything is well between her and Mithali, saying that the team is like a family where troubles are common, and if someone feels there is nothing well they should go to Mithali and ask her about the same.

Kaur was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror, “I have met [Mithali] and spoken to her after all these events and we seemed to have moved on. I don’t think there has been any problem between me and Mithali. I can speak for myself. You have to speak to her and ask if she has a problem with me.”

She continued, “When you play at an international level, you are mature enough to not let these things affect you. At the end of the day, what matters is you are playing for your country. A team is like a family where there are troubles and such issues keep cropping up, but they shouldn't be taken personally.”

Kaur signed off by saying, “I still feel that the situation should not have come to this but sometimes such things happen. I don’t think the issues should have been highlighted so much.”
