One of the most respected cricketers, MS Dhoni got his wax statue placed near his idol Sachin Tendulkar at Jaipur Wax Museum on Monday. The Jaipur Wax Museum which is located at Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur celebrated its second anniversary on December 17 by unveiling Dhoni’s wax statue.

Susanta Roy made the statue and it took three months of hard work to complete it.

The height of Dhoni’s Wax statue is 5.9 feet and it weighs about 19 kg. The surrounding resembles Wankhede stadium of Mumbai where the former Indian captain played innings of his life in 2011.

Founder and Director of Wax Museum Anup Srivastav said these statues will inspire the visitors.

Srivastav further elaborated that the museum department conducted a poll last year in which they asked the general public to choose between former captain Indian cricket team MS Dhoni and present captain of Indian cricket team Virat Kohli for the next wax statue at Jaipur Wax Museum.

More people voted for MS Dhoni, so the museum authorities decided to unveil his wax statue on the occasion of its second anniversary.

Another special attraction point of Jaipur Wax Museum is ‘Sheesh Mahal’. Famous artisans of India have made ‘Sheesh Mahal’ by using more than 25 lakh pieces of glass (mirror). Jaipur wax museum has 42 wax sculptors.
