Ravi Shastri has copped quite a lot of criticism for his best traveling team comment he had made during India’s tour to England recently. He had said, “If you look at the last three years, we have won nine matches overseas and three-Test series. I can’t see any other Indian team in the last 15-20 years that have had the same run in such a short time, and you have had some great players playing in those series”.

Now it was reported that Ravi Shastri was pulled up for this comment of his during the recent meeting between the team higher-ups including him, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ajinkya Rahane and the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (COA).

"When Ravi (Shastri) went on about how great this current team is, one of the CoA members just cut him short. The CoA member told him, 'Let's stick to the agenda of the meeting and discuss Australia tour policies. You don't decide if the team is the best traveling side in the world. Let people be the judge'," an official was quoted as saying by PTI.

Now Shastri has come forward to quash all those rumors and told mid-day.com that "The truth is that it [15-year comment] didn't even come up. The so-called source needs to do some target practice. He is aiming Paris, hitting Tokyo."

Shastri’s comment in England came back to haunt India as they were crushed 1-4 in the five-match Test series. This was the third consecutive Test series loss for India in England. The last test series win came under the leadership of Rahul Dravid in 2007.
