37-year-old Graeme Smith, the former South African skipper, got engaged to girlfriend Romy Lanfranchi and announced the happy moment on social media with an adorable picture.

Smith has been in a relationship with Romy since 2014 and they have a boy together whom they welcomed in December 2016. Smith was earlier married to Irish pop star Morgan Deane and has two kids with her.

Smith had made his South Africa debut in 2002 and called time on his career in 2014, played 117 Tests for South Africa. The opener scored 9,265 runs in Tests for South Africa at an average of 48.25 with 27 tons to his name with a best of 277. Smith captained the Proteas in 109 matches.

He also played 197 ODI matches, scoring 6,989 runs at an average of 37.98 with 10 centuries. Smith played 33 T20I matches for South Africa managing 982 runs.
