Mohammad Hafeez contemplating retirement post-demotion in PCB's list of contracted players

The recent pay like by PCB for its centrally contracted players will see the demotion of former Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez from Grade A to Grade B. This action by PCB has not gone well with Hafeez he is considering retirement post the board's "discriminatory treatment"

A source close to Hafeez has also said that Pakistan coach dropped Hafeez from the first four ODIs against Zimbabwe after that he refused to play in the final game last month.  This is also one of the reasons which has triggered Hafeez to think about a possible retirement from the game. 

"Mohammad Hafeez will not sign the central contract" said the source. 

Earlier PCB released the new list of centrally contracted players with the board. the representatives of the players - which will see a 25-30 percent increase in monthly remuneration as the previous three-year-long formula concluded this season.

According to the newly agreed formula, the following will be the monthly salaries:

A category - 875,000 PKR (USD 7,112)

B category - 550,000 PKR (USD 4,470)

C category - 375,000 PKR (USD 3,048)

D category - 190,000 PKR (USD 1,544)

E category - 100,000 PKR (USD 813)
