Sourav Ganguly is called the Prince of Kolkata, a moniker bestowed upon him by the great English opener Geoffrey Boycott. He is the favorite son of Bengal and is still famous in the state and city of Kolkata, almost a decade after his retirement from international cricket.
Recently, cricket fans from Kolkata were invited to the Sourav Ganguly cricket academy for an event hosted by known VJ Rannvijay. The enthusiasts were asked to take part in a game of cricket with Rannvijay and were seen to have lots of fun.
The event had partnered with Pizza Hut in order to provide refreshments to those who visited and Pizza delivery guys ventured into the event with the food and refreshments for the attendees. However, one of the pizza delivery people started telling Rannvijay how some of the people, who batted in the nets could improve their technique.
A conversation happened between Rannvijay and the pizza delivery guy and he challenged the Pizza guy to show what he has got in the nets. The person took on the challenge and started to warm up. Initially, took a right-handed stance and struggled to get bat to ball.
However, he reversed the stance to a left-handed one and started unleashing some great strokes, leaving everyone mesmerized. People were awed at the talent of the pizza guy and cheered him on. As time went on, suspicion set in, as to how a normal pizza guy could play so brilliantly.
The batsman eventually took his prosthetic nose and beard off and the crowd realized that it had been the Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly in the guise of a pizza delivery guy.
An excited crowd could hardly keep their voices down as they scrambled to capture the moment on their phones. Ganguly posed for photos and selfies with the fans and people present there could hardly believe that they were seeing Dada in person.
Here is the video of Sourav Ganguly disguised as a pizza boy, playing cricket:
