Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have appointed Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the vice-captain. The 28-year old pacer has been the star performer for them and he suits the role.
Bhuvneshwar has won Purple cap (most wicket in a season) for SRH for consecutive seasons. He picked up 23 and 26 wickets in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Earlier on Thursday, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson replaced Australia's David Warner as the captain of SRH.
Warner and his Australian teammate Steve Smith were suspended from participating in the upcoming IPL after the ball-tampering scandal. They have been banned by Cricket Australia for one year each and IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla cleared that the duo can't play in the cash-rich league as well.
"We respect the decision of the Cricket Australia. They have suspended Smith and Warner for 12 months. Keeping that mind, we have decided that these two players can’t play in IPL 2018," Rajiv said. "We will give an opportunity to both franchises to look for replacements. We have looked at the decisions taken by ICC and CA before taking our decision," he added.
