Jasprit Bumrah becomes the sole no.1 bowler in ICC ODI bowling rankings

Ross Taylor makes a comeback into the top 10 ODI batsmen rankings after 4 years.

Jasprit Bumrah became the sole owner of the no.1 spot for the first time in the ICC ODI bowling rankings released on Tuesday. Bumrah picked up 8 wickets in 6 ODI matches against South Africa recently.

Rashid Khan lost his position as joint no.1 ODI bowler, after a lackluster show at the ICC CWC Qualifiers in Zimbabwe, which Afghanistan won beating Windies in the final.

New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor has leapt up into the top 10 batsmen thanks to a rich haul of runs against England in the 5 match ODI series, including his career best 181. He jumped to no.7 in the ODI rankings, after 4 years.

The other Indians in the top 10 rankings are Rohit Sharma (6th in batting rankings) and Yuzvendra Chahal (9th in bowling rankings). AB de Villiers has grabbed the second spot in the ICC ODI rankings while David Warner is just behind him in the list by a significant margin of 21 points.
