Kevin Pietersen, the former English cricketer has decided to hang up his boots. "BOOTS UP! Thank you!", his tweet read. He was currently playing Pakistan Super League for Quetta Gladiators.

The South Africa born player appeared in 104 Tests for England, in which he scored 8181 runs at 47.28 with 23 centuries and 35 fifties. Pietersen was 5th highest Test runs scorer for England.
He also had a good limited overs record. In 136 ODIs, he has scored 4440 runs. The inventor of switch hit added 1176 runs in T20Is with seven half-centuries.
After the recently concluded Big Bash 2018, he had hinted about his retirement. "I'm done and dusted, playing days," Pietersen said. Pietersen was part of England team which won the Ashes in 2005 and 2010 World T20 title.
Former cricketers congratulated the ex-English cricketer for a wonderful career.
