The 2003-04 India tour of Pakistan is considered as one of the best series between the arch- rivals. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has this series close to his heart. He had led India to a series win in both the formats.

Ganguly, in an interview for his book "A Century is not Enough: My Roller-coaster Ride to Success", says there is a beauty in touring Pakistan and he always loved visiting the country.

He also said you will get a very mixed feeling visiting there. They are very passionate about cricket and hence can't digest defeat. Also, they have a very good hospitality.

"It is a fascinating country, it is rough, it's beautiful, it's different, It is harsh country and soft country as well," he said.

When asked about his interaction with Pakistan people he said:  "I couldn't imagine you could get treated so well with food, hospitality and with kindness. It was a great place to tour."

He also stated that Pakistan is a tough country to play with, "yeah, they were a good side".

The President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) lauded the beauty of Pakistani cities. He was awestruck on the 2004 tour to the neighbor country.

"Islamabad is such a beautiful place, you go there, the capital you, drive through the streets and one side you see beautiful buildings and on the other side those rugged mountains of Pakistan. It is fascinating."
