The Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA) is preparing a security report which will help the international players to take the final decision whether they should go to Karachi or not to play the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 in Karachi.
Reg Dickason –led two-member security delegation is due to witness a full dress preparation at The National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday –where the final is scheduled to be held here on March 22.
FICA Chief Executive, Tony Irish made it clear that they have not come yet at any conclusion for the PSL final, saying they are currently preparing a report to help the overseas players.
Irish told the 'Express' newspaper, “To play or not to play in the T20 league is the players' decision. We don't have any control over that. However, we provide the information from which they can make the best decision. So we are currently in the process of preparing the report for the final in Karachi.”
Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced that the PSL league matches and the first play-off will be played in the United Arab Emirates, whereas second and third play-offs will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, while the grand finale is scheduled to be held in Karachi.
