U19 World Cup 2018: BCCI to reward India U19 superstars

According to latest PTI reports, the Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) will be announcing a ransome amount of cash reward to the Indian U19 superstars after they made their way through to the finals of the marquee tournament earlier today by defeating arch-rivals Pakistan.

The Prithvi Shaw led team has been on a dream run and unbeaten so far in the tournament. While Shaw has led the team with the bat, the likes of Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti has delivered match-winning performances with the ball. 

BCCI acting President CK Khanna earlier today congratulated the young U19 team on their victory against Pakistan and making it to the finals of the tournament. 

Khanna said, "I would like to congratulate the entire team and coach Rahul Dravid for this performance. Rahul's contribution in guiding the Gen Next cricketers has been immense. Because of him we now have a talented pool of U-19 cricketers."The BCCI will announce cash awards and also felicitate the team," he told PTI.

Meanwhile, these young U19 superstars from India have also managed to enter the IPL fray as they have attracted various IPL franchises. While Prithvi Shaw was roped in by Delhi Daredevils,  the likes of Nagarkorti and Mavi were brought in by KKR. 

The Indian team today thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan by 203 runs in the semifinals to enter the final for the sixth time. They will take on Australia in the summit clash on February 3.
