An advertisement had sparked talks of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's wedding. The couple who met four years ago whilst shooting a shampoo commercial, also recently starred in a wedding-themed Manyavar ad together.

Virat is supposed to take a break from cricket in December and rumors were that the lovebirds will get married in the meantime.

As per reports, the 29-year-old-cricketer had cited personal reasons - as soon as the news broke, the obvious speculation being "it is because of the much-awaited wedding."

Though, all the speculations concerning the presence of Kohli in India’s upcoming three-match Test series against Sri Lanka has been put to rest by the national chairman of selectors MSK Prasad.

The chief selector confirmed that India skipper had made himself available for selection in all the three Test matches.

Anushka did the rest to put a break on the rumors, confirming that they are not going to marry in December.

When asked about the speculated December wedding, the talent agency which manages Anushka's career, told NDTV: "These are just rumors doing the rounds. No truth to it."

Despite rumors of a break-up between the two in 2015, Kohli had later clarified them, stating that Anushka had complete backing when fans lashed out at the actress for Kohli’s poor performance during the time.

The couple have also been known for spending time together, and very often uploading pictures on social media.
