The sixth edition of Karnataka Premier League (KPL) may not have generated a lot of Television Rating Point (TRPs) but it has certainly produced some enthralling contests with the matches going down to the penultimate over.

The absence of local stars such as KL Rahul and Manish Pandey owing to their national commitments has undoubtedly taken some toll in the overall viewership even though the lucrative league boasts some of the renowned names like Brett Lee and Dean Jones in their commentary panel.

In order to popularize the event, India’s star women cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy also attended the match between Belagavi Panther and Bengaluru Blasters on Friday. However, nothing can be compared to what the spectators experienced during the same match at the Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadiyar Ground, Mysore. One of most adored celebrity couple i.e. the presenter of Star Sports Mayanti Langer and Karnataka’s star cricketer Stuart Binny were spotted together on the screen.  

The much-anticipated moment took place when Binny was interviewed by her wife and the match presenter Mayanti after playing a breathtaking knock of 86 in just 46 balls. Later, he was also adjudged Man of the Match as the Panthers won the match by 23 runs.

This is not the first time though the cricketer wife has been spotted taking interview of her hubby on the field. Earlier, the Kiwi opener Martin Guptill was also interviewed by wife Laura McGoldrick.
