Indian cricket heartthrob Virat Kohli is adored by masses all across the globe and it can be observed from his presence in a particular tournament. Without an iota of doubt, the current Indian skipper ranks among the finest cricketers of the current generations, if not the very best. No wonder, the franchise owners all over the world want to have him on their side.
Even though Virat Kohli is yet to express his viewpoint on playing in the overseas franchise cricket, but it is a well-known fact that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reluctant to allow its players’ feature in such leagues except the board’s own cash-rich IPL.
Recently, the Pakistan Super League team Lahore Qalandars owner Fawad Rana expressed his desire to rope in the super star of Indian cricket.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Fawad Rana said: “I would have loved to buy Virat for my team. I feel eventually the Indian Board will allow its players to play in foreign leagues. It won’t be like this.”
Besides owning the Lahore Qalandars franchise, Rana recently bought the Durban Qalandars franchise in the forthcoming T20 Global League, scheduled to be held in South Africa in November.

The statement of Fawad came as a tad surprising to many since the Pakistani cricketers are not allowed to take part in the BCCI organized Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2009.
Kohli is currently busy with the national commitment as he is leading the team in the ongoing ODI series in Sri Lanka.
