India and Delhi wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant will be captaining the rest of the India squad in the upcoming Irani Cup 2026 game against Jammu and Kashmir, the reigning Ranji Trophy champions.

Pant was not included in the Indian squad for the ODI series against West Indies and hence will lead the squad filled with the best domestic stars from various state teams. With this game being played parallel to the Asian Games and India’s white-ball series against the West Indies at home, several high-profile cricketers were not included in it.

The batting lineup includes Sanat Sangwan, Shikhar Mohan, and Sudip Gharami, while Sarfaraz Khan was named the vice-captain. Ayush Doseja and Smaran Ravichandran complete the batting unit, along with Rishabh Pant. Aryan Jurel was named as the backup wicketkeeper, while Manav Suthar, Saransh Jain, and Anukul Roy have been named as the spinners.

Mukesh Kumar, Mukesh Choudhary, Aryan Pandey, and Akash Deep have been named as pacers in the Rest of India squad for the Irani Cup. However, Akash Deep’s inclusion is subject to fitness, as he has been at the CoE for his back injury that he suffered during the England tour last year.

The Irani Cup 2026-27 will take place between the Ranji Trophy champion, Jammu and Kashmir, and the rest of India between October 1 and 5 in Srinagar.

Rest of India squad:

Rishabh Pant [C, WK], Sanat Sangwan, Shikhar Mohan, Sudip Gharami, Sarfaraz Khan [VC], Smaran Ravichandran, Manav Suthar, Saransh Jain, Akash Deep*, Mukesh Kumar, Mukesh Choudhary, Aryan Juyal [WK], Aryan Pandey, Anukul Roy, Ayush Doseja.

Note: *Subject to fitness clearance
