Babar Azam's dismissal against Jofra Archer | GettyBabar Azam was dismissed by Jofra Archer with a vicious bouncer on Day 4 of the second Test match between England and Pakistan at Lord's Cricket Ground.

Chasing a daunting fourth-innings target of 389 runs, the visitors were reduced to 14/3, with Babar falling in the eighth over as Archer delivered a steep, rib-high bouncer aimed directly at the stumps.

The Pakistan captain was left in a tangle, attempting an awkward fending pull shot. The ball deflected off his glove/bat and helmet, popping straight up into the air. Jordan Cox grabbed a simple catch at second slip to send Babar back to the pavilion for just 6 runs.

Earlier, Ollie Robinson removed Azan Awais (6) and Abdullah Shafique (0) in the same over. At the time of writing, Pakistan were 85/3 with Saud Shakeel (50*) and Shan Masood (20*) stitching an unbeaten 71-run partnership.

Having lost the first Test in Leeds by an innings and 103 runs, the tourists are facing a must-win situation at Lord’s to keep the three-match series alive.
