Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc and Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz were involved in a heated exchange on Day 2 of the first Test match between two teams in Darwin.
The incident unfolded during the 21st over of Bangladesh's first innings at the Marrara Cricket Ground. Starc bowled a back-of-a-length delivery outside off-stump, which Miraz guided toward short third man to complete a single.
After crossing for the run, Miraz continued walking down the danger area of the pitch. Starc, visibly annoyed by the batter walking on the wicket during his follow-through, confronted Miraz directly.
The left-arm quick was caught on stump mic aggressively telling Miraz to “get off the pitch” and “that is not your area.”
This led to a brief exchange between the two players. On-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena immediately stepped in to de-escalate the situation before it could spiral further.

Coming to the match, the hosts were bowled out for 198 on Day 1, with Hasan Mahmud claiming six wickets for Bangladesh.
In reply, the visitors ended the opening day at 96/1 at stumps and gained a huge 153 run-led at the close of play on Day 2. Tanzid Hasan Tamim starred with the bat as he slammed 101, while skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto produced a brilliant 84-run knock.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz (32*) and Hasan Mahmud (13*) will look to capitalise on their strong position (351/6) when play resumes on Saturday morning.
