Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has dismissed the dating rumours with Yashasvi Jaiswal, clarifying that she and the Indian cricketer were not even spotted together in a video and urging creators to focus on more important national issues.
The dating rumours started after a viral clip showed them leaving the same cafe in Mumbai’s Bandra West. However, Mrunal has now put all speculations to rest.
She took to the comments section of her video with Jaiswal, asking why people assume they are together just from being at the same place.
Mrunal expressed disappointment that educated people easily believe such baseless social media gossip. She also suggested that creators learn from "Gen Z" to focus on meaningful topics, which would ultimately bring them more views.
“Bro relax… show me ek sath kahan? Kaise yaar, aap log itne padhe likhe log aise afwaao ko sach manne lagte hain?" Mrunal wrote.
“Desh mein kya kuch nahi ho raha hain. Gen Z se kuch sikhiye aur sahi muddon par videos baniye aur jyaada views mileenge," she added.
In 2025, Mrunal Thakur was linked to actor Dhanush after the two stars made several friendly public appearances together. However, both of them explicitly dismissed the rumors as completely fake and baseless.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently stationed in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where he is participating with the Indian squad ahead of their two-match Test series.
