Punjab Kings (PBKS) and India seamer Arshdeep Singh is known for his presence on social media and for funny reels he posts on Instagram. However, recently in IPL 2026, this social media presence of several other content creators was criticized and led to the BCCI and IPL governing council issuing guidelines to franchises.

He recently opened up about the IPL 2026 social media controversy, during which he removed most of his Instagram posts following Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) exit from the tournament.

Arshdeep was asked about the reason behind deleting his Instagram posts. The pacer explained that he wanted to clear up his Instagram account as the IPL 2026 had ended and people tend to make an issue of absolutely nothing.

He added that he removed the posts because he wanted to and will put them back if he wants to.

IPL had ended, and I felt like cleaning things up, so I was properly clearing everything out. I mean, people make an issue out of it, asking why I removed the videos and what happened to Arshdeep’s Instagram account and why he changed it overnight. But it’s nothing like that, bro. I just felt like removing them, so I did. If I feel like it, I’ll put them back. It’s just about my mood. Whenever I feel like it, I post something,” Arshdeep Singh said on Krishank Atrey’s YouTube channel.

Arshdeep has an underwhelming IPL 2026 campaign for Punjab Kings, claiming 14 wickets in as many games but conceding runs at an economy rate of 10.20.

When asked which Indian team members he shares the most memes with, Arshdeep Singh said. He disclosed that he often shares memes with a group that includes Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan, and Ravi Bishnoi.

There’s a group consisting of Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan, and me. The four of us have been close since we were newly selected for the Indian team. So whenever something funny happens, like someone says something in an interview that later backfires and memes are made about it, we keep sending those memes to each other,” he added.

Arshdeep Singh has played 109 white-ball games for India, taking a total of 165 wickets, including 135 wickets in T20Is.
