Marcus Stoinis of Australia was in brutal hitting form in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC 2026) tournament. Stoinis is playing for Seattle Orcas in the MLC 2026 tournament and showed amazing hitting form against Washington Freedom on June 25.
Orcas batted first and were looking to reach a decent target at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, with Tim Seifert (37) and Matthew Breetzke (32) getting good starts. It was Shimron Hetmyer who held the innings together, scoring 79* in 33 balls with 9 sixes and 2 fours.
However, the impetus to the Orcas innings came from Marcus Stoinis, who slammed 42 in 16 balls with 6 sixes to his name, taking Orcas to 227/6 in 20 overs.
Five of his six sixes came in one over from Ian Holland. Holland was bowling the 17th over of the innings, and Stoinis hammered four successive sixes off the first four balls of the over.
He aimed for the fifth one as well, but missed the delivery, as it hit his stomach. However, he didn’t miss a short ball on the final ball and hammered it for a huge six.

Jasdeep Singh was then the star with the ball, taking 5/24 and keeping Freedom to 139 runs with Amila Aponso top-scoring with 31. Orcas won the game by 88 runs.
