Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali and England’s Sam Hain and Jonny Bairstow indulged in a light-hearted moment during Yorkshire’s County Championship Division One clash against Warwickshire at Scarborough.
The incident happened at North Marine Road amid Warwickshire's fourth-innings struggle. Yorkshire had set a target of 453 and was pushing hard to win. Sam Hain was occupying the crease and irritating the hosts with a resolute defensive effort; he had emerged as Yorkshire's main obstacle.
After finishing his follow-through, Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali approached the striker's end and changed the bails in an effort to improve Yorkshire's chances. Hain, however, was not amused and returned the bails to their original position.
Then Jonny Bairstow, the Yorkshire keeper, ran upto the stumps and swapped the bails again, drawing amusement from those watching the moment unfold.

Yorkshire's bowling attack was stifled by Hain's 69 in 218 balls, but he was removed with 19 overs remaining. Ed Barnard, who scored 58, was then dismissed by Matthew Revis to put pressure on Warwickshire. However, Warwickshire ended on 333 for 8, securing a draw as the bottom order held tight.
Although the bail-swapping incident did not change the outcome, it became one of the match's most iconic images.
