Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli shared a glowing review of the film Dhurandhar: The Revenge (also known as Dhurandhar 2) on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Kohli described it as a unique "cinematic experience" unlike anything he had seen made in India before.
Kohli labeled director Aditya Dhar a "genius", lauding his "talent and conviction" in creating the nearly four-hour-long film. He singled out Ranveer Singh for special praise, stating the lead actor has "attained a different level" with a performance that was "beyond brilliant".
In his post, Kohli also mentioned that the movie brought every kind of emotion to the surface and was so gripping that he "didn't flinch once" during its long runtime.
“Saw the film today and dare I say that I've never ever seen a cinematic experience like this made in India. It brought out every kind of emotion to the surface and I didn't flinch once for almost 4 hours. @adityadharfilms your talent and conviction is reflected in what you've created. Hats off to you. You're a genius. And although all actors were great in their roles BUT @ranveersingh you have attained a different level after this movie and your performance was beyond brilliant. Absolutely WOW,” Kohli wrote on his Instagram story.
As of early April 2026, the film has grossed over ₹1,622 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. Kohli's review has further fueled the massive buzz surrounding the movie.
On a personal front, Virat Kohli is currently featuring in the IPL 2026 for RCB. The right-hander registered scores of 69* (38 balls) and 28 (18 balls) in RCB’s first two outings against SRH and CSK, respectively.
