Former Pakistani captain Shoaib Malik has broken his silence as the rumors of him getting married for a third time gained strong wind. Malik responded to what he called "false and fabricated stories" in a thorough public statement, claiming that the situation had now escalated to the point that he had to address it in public.

According to Malik, his first marriage to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza terminated amicably in early 2023. He stated that he only got married again after the decision to co-parent their child was made by both parties.

In 2024, he married Pakistani actress Sana Javed on January 19 in a private Nikah ceremony in Karachi.

In the midst of increasing online buzz and repeated assertions about his personal life, the statement seems to be an attempt to put a precise timetable in the public domain.

He also stated that he had always attempted to keep his private life out of public view out of respect for his family, but now felt hissilencet was being exploited.

"It was early 2023 when my first marriage ended. With mutual consent, it was decided that we would co-parent our child. It was only after this that I got remarried. I've always sought to keep my private life private, out of respect for my family. However, my silence seems to have been taken for granted," Malik said in the statement, shared on his social media.

According to Malik, unconfirmed claims about his personal life were written and distributed without his knowledge, and some people sought to connect him with persons he said he had never met.

Malik expressed concerns about his wife being dragged into the controversy. He claimed she had been subjected to disparaging remarks for matters in which she had never been involved, and he condemned such attacks. His comments made it apparent that, in his opinion, the issue was no longer only a rumor but also the emotional impact on those closest to him.

One of the most powerful aspects of Malik's statement centered on his son. He stated that his son is now old enough to read such tales and that falsified narratives being propagated for views and profit were creating grief among his loved ones. That, according to Shoaib Malik, was a big motivation for his decision to speak up now rather than keep silent.

"I feel this has reached a point where it must be addressed, as my son is now at an age where he'll be reading these false and fabricated stories, spread for views for mere pennies of earnings. These lame accusations are causing distress to those whom I care about.

Act responsibly; there is much more to life than just a few likes and views. I have a family just like you all do. I hope this message is taken positively, and assumptions/jokes about my personal life will stop. Failure to do so will result in strict legal action from my team against individuals and firms," his statement added.
