Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis gave a fiery send-off to Pakistani star Babar Azam during a recent BBL 15 game between Melbourne Stars and the Sydney Sixers.
Stoinis, who was dismissed for 33 in the first innings after giving Sydney Sixers' Babar a catch at cover, avenged himself in the second innings. Bowling a fuller ball, aiming at the stumps, he trapped Babar LBW for 14, leading to the batter missing his flick as the ball thudded into his pads and the umpire raised the finger.
Stoinis celebrated the wicket with flamboyant flair as the umpire raised his finger, sending Babar out in a heated manner. The batter spoke briefly with Josh Philippe at the non-striker's end but decided not to opt for DRS.
“See you later, Babar, see you later, brother," Stoinis can be heard saying in a viral video.
Earlier, Melbourne Stars were put into bat first by Sydney Sixers and were shot out for 128 runs, with Marcus Stoinis and Blake McDonald top-scoring with 33 runs. Ben Dwarshuis took 4/13, and Jack Edwards took 3/27 for the Sixers.
In response, Josh Phillippe made 35, and Lachlan Shaw made 24* as the Sixers won the game by 6 wickets.
Coming to Babar Azam, he has made 145 runs in seven BBL games, with the highest score of 58* and a strike rate of 108.20.
